Eric Hutchinson- We are pleased to welcome ERIC HUTCHINSON as our Musician! Eric comes to us with extensive experience in leading church music. A graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he has been recognized as a distinguished alumnus, Eric has directed music for a wide variety of productions, including GODSPELL and JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, as well as his original musical, BELIEVER, written when he was a teenager.He has also recorded some albums, including the instrumental Christmas album STILL. Eric has worked in leadership positions for the YMCA for several years. During that time, he has provided music in many local churches here in Connecticut as either a supply musician or as part of a rotation of musicians ( Union, Manchester, Windsor, Wethersfield) and has been an integral part of an annual Christmas production in Manchester at Trinity Covenant Church. Eric will lead music at Sunday worship, as well as some special services throughout the year and will organize some members of the congregation to be part of singing groups upon occasion! Pastor Bob LaRochelle

Pastor Bob LaRochelle began here as our Pastor on March 1, 2019. He was installed as Pastor on April 28. Pastor Bob has had extensive experience in a variety of churches within the Christian tradition. He was born and grew up in Putnam, Connecticut and graduated from St. Mary School and Marianapolis Prep.Raised a Roman Catholic, he served as an ordained Catholic Permanent Deacon for several years. In 2002, he was ordained in the United Church of Christ, an ecumenical partner of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. He served as pastor of two UCC churches in Connecticut, including 11 1/2 years at the Congregational Church of Union, UCC, as well as Christ the King Lutheran Church in Windsor, Second Congregational, UCC, in Manchester and did a sabbatical pastorate at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wethersfield.

Pastor Bob recently retired from South Windsor High School where he worked as a Counselor. He worked for many years as a teacher and Counselor in both Catholic and public schools, including 10 years teaching Religion at East Catholic High School and 30 as a Counselor in the South Windsor Public Schools. For much of his career, he was also a Coach, leading his South Windsor High School Baseball team to four league championships and a berth in the State semi finals. His coaching achievements earned him the honor of Connecticut High School Coach of the Year from the Connecticut American Legion Baseball program.

Pastor Bob has written 7 books, including Part Time Pastor, Full Time Church, which explores current trends in church life and Crossing the Street, a look at Catholicism and Protestantism in relation to each other.

He holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Chicago Theological Seminary as well as degrees from his undergraduate alma mater, The College of the Holy Cross (Religious Studies), and Master’s degrees from Boston College (Religious Education) and Central Connecticut (Counseling). He has led workshops and spoken about his books at several conferences throughout the country( including Illinois, Pennsylvania and New York State ) and has offered some webinars as well, including a national webinar for the Presbyterian Church, USA. He has also given workshops at several denominational conferences.

He is married to Patricia Coppinger LaRochelle and they have three adult children and two granddaughters. He is also an incorrigible Boston Red Sox ( and Bob Dylan) fan!
